Supplying quality products which meet and where possible exceed all statutory requirements is of paramount importance. No quality compromises are allowed. As an importer of many products special attention must be paid to establishing quality supply chains from the manufacturer, passing through our company departments and depots and on to our customer.

Pre-shipment Inspection

All LOTs produced for Bodyguards undergo a pre-shipment inspection before the batch can be released. Bodyguards have standardised the method of reporting for consistency of supply and ease of data extraction/analysis. The pre-shipment report covers All BS EN 420 or BS EN 455 testing (depending on glove type), and includes powder residue testing and product look and feel acceptance testing.

Independant Inspection - SE Asia

In accordance with Bodyguards, sampling plan shipments of product undergo an independent test lab examination in SE Asia . Labs must be ISO 17025 accredited and fully independent from the supplier. Testing is carried out to BS EN 420 & 455, depending on glove type.

Technical Manager

Bodyguards has links with Technical Manager based in SE Asia to liaise with suppliers and to witness testing in the suppliers’ lab on a regularly planned basis. Our technical manager has vast experience in the manufacturing of gloves in the Far East and was employed by one of the largest producers before being appointed to aid Bodyguards.

This appointment gives us the confidence and reassurance that we have a technical expert on hand in the Far East to work with suppliers to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.

Goods-In Inspection

All LOTs are sample inspected upon receipt in the UK by a dedicated quality person. The Goods-In testing carried out is a final check of the product packaging and the look and feel of the product.

UK Independent Testing

In addition to all of the above routine testing, Bodyguards also randomly test each supplier by testing supplied product on an annual basis. EN455 (parts 1 & 2) testing is carried out at BSI Product Services and Protein/Chemical Testing is carried out at Rubber Consultants test facility. Vinyl gloves are also tested at Nelson Labs USA for viral penetration.
